Spa Diane Barrière Paris

Serenity along the Champs-Élysées
When you need a respite from the flurry of tourists and locals on the Champs-Élysées, duck into Hôtel Le Fouquet's Paris’ subterranean Spa Diane Barrière, 8,600 square feet of modern elegance. After exiting the elevator, the first thing you see is the Mediterranean-blue swimming pool, which instantly creates a sense of serenity.

You’ll be in such a state of bliss when you reemerge from the spa that the crowds on the Champs-Élysées won’t faze you.
Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The intimate 8,000-square-foot spa selected the beloved Parisian cosmetic and skin-care line Kos Paris for its treatment partner. The luxurious (and all-natural) products feature plant-based ingredients free of silicone, parabens, mineral oil and other harmful additives.
  • With just five treatment rooms, the cozy spa often feels like your own private oasis.
  • Fitness buffs are spoiled for choice at this Paris spa, where not only will you have access to a 500-plus-square-foot gym with a personal trainer on hand, but you can also enjoy the city's only aquatic fitness circuit. Walk the labyrinth of lanes as the current pushes against you for a unique and invigorating pre- or post-treatment workout.
  • Whether you have all the time in the world, or barely a moment to spare, this accommodating spa has something for you. Massages range from a quick tension release lasting only 30 minutes to a personalized 90-minute service.
  • In the warm, dimly lit treatment rooms, select the soundtrack to your treatment from a wide variety of music genres.
Things to Know
  • You won't miss out on Paris' famed art scene when you plan a day of pampering here. Prints of masterpiece paintings adorn the walls, while object d'arts and statues subtly enhance the spa's many alcoves.
  • Athletes (or those with aching muscles from a day of sightseeing) will want to opt for the spa's localized cryotherapy treatments. In addition to soothing soreness, the ice-cold submersion therapy is said to also reduce stress, treat sleep disorders and result in firmer skin.
The Treatments
  • For the ultimate dive into well-being, book one of Spa Diane Barrière's Parisian Urban Detox programs. Developed in partnership with natural cosmetics brand Kos Paris, these two- or three-day retreats aim to refresh your mind, body and soul (think diet tips, posture alignment and stress management).
  • Get a City of Light-worthy glow with the spa's Brightening Treatment. This 30-minute facial uses exotic ingredients, like prickly pear seed extract from North Africa and acai berries from the Amazon Delta to nourish and restore tired skin.
  • If you prefer pampering over pushups, opt for the Tonic Body Wrap and let natural ingredients like orange, ginger and carrot tone your skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
The Facilities
  • At 50 by 20 feet, the pool is the centerpiece of the spa and one of the largest indoor pools in Paris. The surrounding area features a slate gray and black color palette that adds to the sense of Zen.
  • In addition, just off the main pool is an aqua training circuit, the only one of its kind in the capital. The combination of jets, bubbles, counter-current lanes and even a small waterfall feature work wonders on sore muscles.
  • Five treatment rooms feature airy curtains and soft, warm-toned lighting, providing a cocoon-like retreat for pampering.
  • A large relaxation room adjoining the pool area is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea and healthy snacks while lounging by a cozy fireplace.
