Things to Know
  • Some of the hotel’s original exterior is red rock the Wort brothers quarried themselves in the nearby Gros Ventre (pronounced “Gro Vont” in Jacksonese) Mountains.

The Restaurants
  • The seats in the Silver Dollar Bar are more comfortable than those at the more famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar around the corner (the Cowboy’s seats are saddles) and the music scene here is more varied.
  • Inside the bar's Silver Dollar Showroom, you can hear live music every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
  • The bar’s food is better than most with entrées like a buffalo burger and an elk gyro.
  • In the adjacent fine-dining restaurant at the Recommended hotel, Silver Dollar Grill, you can order some of town’s best steaks and regional game. Not into game? Silver Dollar Grill also serves fish, chicken and vegetarian dishes.
