Sinatra at Encore Boston Harbor

Updated Italian classics in Boston
VERIFIED LUXURY

One of Encore Boston Harbor’s signature dining venues, Sinatra is only the second restaurant in the world authorized by the famous singer Frank Sinatra’s family to carry its name — the other is at Wynn Las Vegas. The establishment is not only an ode to the Chairman of the Board himself, but to the era of snazzy supper clubs.

Chef T.J. Ricciardi has designed a menu that updates versions of Italian classics, several of which are named for Ol’ Blue Eyes. Though while dining on slow-braised veal osso buco “My Way,” you won’t care whose name is over the door.

The elegant dining room serves as a nice counterpoint to the bustling casino and is a stylish place to spend a couple of hours channeling your inner Rat Pack while sipping on a Fly Me to the Moon cocktail, a tasty concoction of tequila, Cointreau, Tangerine Fruitations, coconut Red Bull, pineapple and lime.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • As you walk into Sinatra, there’s no doubt where you are: a giant image of the dapper singer has pride of place on the wall and more shots are located throughout the space.
  • Top-notch service from friendly hosts, knowledgeable bartenders and attentive servers makes your dining experience seamless.
  • Sinatra’s bar is just as elegant and comfortable to dine in as the rest of the Boston restaurant. Grab a barstool and a classic Old Fashioned to sip while people watching.
  • In addition to an excellent wine-by-the-glass menu, the Italian restaurant’s wide selection of grappa and amaro is a nice touch.
  • Savor rich Italian fare, from tagliatelle with prosciutto di Parma with black truffle cream to veal parmigiana.

Things to Know

  • Getting to and from the restaurant is a breeze. Hop on one of the hotel’s custom luxury yachts that run year-round from the Boston waterfront, or take free shuttles from the Wellington and Malden Center MBTA stations.
  • Dress as Frank would. The dress code at Sinatra requires a collared shirt for men and no shorts, athletic wear or hats for anyone.
  • The elegant eatery’s classic ambiance is great for date night. It’s best to call a sitter and leave the kids at home — Sinatra doesn’t permit children under five to dine.
  • Sinatra is closed on Mondays.
  • After humming along to “Luck Be a Lady” (the restaurant’s playlist features Sinatra tunes), you can head to the 210,000-square-foot casino, which boasts more than 3,100 slot machines, 143 table games, private gaming rooms for high rollers and an 88-table Poker Room.

The Food

  • Sinatra’s playful menu pays homage to its famous namesake with dishes like Frank’s Spaghetti with Manila clams and a flavorful tomato garlic broth, a reported favorite of the singer.
  • Another favorite is the chef’s cioppino, an Italian fish stew made here with Maine lobster, shrimp, clams and scallops in a tasty tomato lobster saffron broth you’ll want to soak up with the crusty grilled Tuscan bread served on the side.
  • The menu may be meat- and seafood-heavy, but even herbivores can indulge at this Italian eatery. Dine on plant-based plates like fried cauliflower with vegan saffron aioli, squash ravioli with marsala wine sauce, and Lion’s Mane mushroom scaloppine, a meat-free version of the classic steak dish served with sunchokes and creamy parsnip puree.
  • For dessert, The Greatest Hits on Vinyl offers a little bit of everything. Indulge in tiramisu, cannoli, a pizzelle cookie gelato sandwich, an olive oil cupcake, and a chocolate-orange bonbon.

The Design

  • The dining room is warm and welcoming with deep-red tablecloths, beige and gold accents, alongside oversized framed photos of the crooner.
  • Ask for a table by the wall of windows to enjoy views of the luxury resort’s gorgeous outdoor spaces.
  • Every corner of the property from the lobby to the casino is packed with art and Sinatra is no exception. Suspended above the bar is the Boston restaurant’s special piece: a stunning sculptural chandelier by French designer Hervé Van der Straeten called Lustre Galatée n° 507.
