- The Krug Room is one of Hong Kong’s most exclusive dining experiences. Tucked away behind the hotel’s kitchen, this intimate restaurant is where up to 12 guests can experience executive chef Robin Zavou’s exquisite, contemporary food and an unrivaled selection of Krug champagnes.
- The Mandarin Salon is a Hong Kong favorite for its expert pedicures. Locals line up to put their feet in the care of technician Samuel So and experience his take on the Shanghainese pedicure. If there’s a waiting list, get on it.

The Rooms
- The 25-story hotel has rooms with two distinct types of decor: one that is more feminine and Western (called Veranda rooms) and one that is more masculine and Asian (called Taipan rooms). Both styles of accommodations offer the same amenities, from the comfortable pillow-topped beds to the upgraded in-room technology.
- Veranda rooms include a separate workspace, made up by the former balconies, which have been enclosed to create a bonus area.
- Bathrooms in the Taipan rooms are outfitted with rich chocolate-hued marble sinks and floors, a wet room with a shower and an oversized soaking tubs.
- The Veranda rooms make smart use of the space with a single sink located in the middle of the bathroom and a vertical mirror that features an embedded TV that swivels to be seen from the bathtub on one side of the room or the three-headed shower (which has respectable water pressure) on the other side.
- All of the bathrooms at the Five-Star hotel are stocked with Diptyque bath products.
The Restaurants
- Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has eight stellar restaurants and bars under its roof, with everything from a Five-Star Chinese restaurant to a casual English pub.
- The Krug Room is a must-try for gastronomes. Created in partnership with the House of Krug, this is the only Krug Room in the world. Sample executive chef Robin Zavou’s brilliantly creative cuisine alongside some of the most prestigious champagne.
- European fare with a dash of progressive gastronomy is the focus at the upscale Mandarin Grill + Bar, which is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A great selection of wines and champagne will draw the oenophiles, too.
- The Clipper Lounge is the hotel’s answer to the buffet, and where you can also enjoy afternoon tea. The elegant space makes the lounge a go-to for both social and business gatherings, and features seasonal guest chefs and themed fashion and art buffet teas.
- Cantonese restaurant Man Wah is especially renowned for its dim sum, served at lunch, and the its Signature Menu at dinner, which pairs each course with either wine or Chinese tea. Signature dishes include Shanghai-style smoked codfish in five-spice powder, barbecue pork with honey glaze and Peking duck.
