The Grand America Hotel itself might be famous for its opulent Italian marble and candy-colored crystal interiors, but the hotel’s Grand Spa is renowned for its peaceful, calm aesthetic and spacious amenities.

Updated in late 2013, the spa is a cool and quiet oasis amidst the hotel’s consistently busy din of business travelers and special events. Pale, warm earth tones; aspen wood, cedar and sandstone; and warm recessed lighting fill the lobby, where receptionists welcome guests and escort them to the appropriate lounge/locker area.

Our Inspector's Highlights

A total of 18 treatment rooms accommodate men, women and couples, who can gather in a unisex common lounge to sip tea or infused water and nibble on house-made granola made with locally harvested honey.
Hydraulic beds are temperature controlled for maximum comfort during treatments that range from 30 to 120 minutes each.
The third floor of The Grand Spa houses a salon where brides often get final touches for their ceremony or executives get a touch-up on their cuticles with soaks in hammered copper and frosted glass basins.
The men’s area and lounge is darker and earth toned, with comfortable furniture and enough flat-screen TVs to put a sports bar to shame — but they mostly go unwatched, as the massages and other spa treatments are the main attraction.
The ultimate luxury at the spa is the Grand Spa Suite. It’s the only room decorated with the Zen-like neutral décor of the rest of the spa.

Things to Know

If you splurged on the Grand Spa Suite, rest easy knowing that you never have to leave the room thanks to 24-hour in-room dining.
The exquisite spa is open daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., allowing adequate time for the weekday worker to schedule some pampering time.
Family pool hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the area transformed into an adult haven from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Facilities

With 22,000 square feet of space occupying multiple stories, this spa boasts plenty of room for luxe amenities.
A private elevator transfers guests from the reception to the fitness and pool areas.
Inside the gym, state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment adequately fill the room. A yoga studio can also be found within the athletic space.
The indoor pool allows you to soak, no matter the time of year.
During the city’s glorious warm season, the gorgeous courtyard is used for activities like summer yoga.
