VERIFIED LUXURY
Drawing traditional beauty and wellness treatments from every corner of the Earth, the internationally renowned ESPA makes its American home in Miami Beach with a Five-Star pampering paradise at Acqualina Spa by ESPA within Acqualina Resort and Residences on the Beach.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Acqualina Spa’s philosophy is to make each treatment a caring, personalized experience and the ultimate in luxury.
  • ESPA’s treatments and services harness the best of aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, thalassotherapy (the use of sea products to boost beauty) and phytotherapy (the use of plant extracts for beauty benefits).
  • Resort guests can request to get pampered in their rooms, enjoying the spectacular ocean rooms that the retreat’s accommodations offer.
  • The spacious spa boutique sells ESPA skincare items, as well as other oils, gifts, clothing and accessories such as jewelry or footwear.
  • This oceanside oasis is only moments away from great shopping, people-watching, dining and even sporting events.
Things to Know
  • The quickest way to get an appointment at Acqualina Spa is by calling the spa directly. Staff can then tell you immediately about availability and suggest alternatives if your desired treatment cannot be reserved at the time you want.
  • Weekends are busier than weekdays at the Five-Star spa, so if you’re looking to get in on a Saturday or Sunday, it’s best to call a week in advance.
  • Whether you prefer a male or female therapist, you can request your therapist gender choice when making your appointment at the Miami luxury spa and staff will do its best to accommodate your preference, based on schedule and availability.
  • Try to arrive at least an hour before your treatment time to enjoy the spa’s fantastic amenities.
  • Couples visiting the intimate spa should book the private spa suite. Inside, you will find an ocean view and its own personal steam room and shower facilities.
The Treatments
  • If you want an aromatherapy massage, you’ll enjoy the Tension-Relief Massage. This treatment uses essential oils, acupressure and aromatherapy massage techniques for 80 minutes of de-stressing.
  • Revive weary muscles with the Targeted Recovery Treatment. First, the Hypervolt tool will warm up your tissue, then get a deep massage on specific areas and finally a Cryo T-shock session will heal the muscles.
  • If you need help with fluid retention, cellulite and uneven skin texture, the Contour and Firm Body Treatment is the option for you. This service includes a warm marine algae application as well as acupressure on your feet and lymphatic drainage massage around your eyes.
  • If you are looking for an out-of-the-ordinary spa experience, try the ESPA active peel facial or the ESPA anti-aging active peel facial. Both treatments utilize natural ingredients made from fruit and organic marine products and are free from parabens, synthetic colors, fragrances and pure petrochemicals.
  • Whether you're looking to purify and exfoliate or reduce sun damage and wrinkles, opt for one of the luxe spa's new Hydrafacial MD offerings. For a fully customized experience, the Infinite Beauty Hydrafacial begins with lymphatic drainage and deep cleansing, followed by an intense burst of hydration with the enhancement of your choice (Britenol for spot correction, Dermabuilder to reverse signs of aging, or CTGF to restore your luster), LED light therapy and a soothing scalp massage.
The Facilities
  • In the glamorous, tiled changing room the ice fountain is designed to work in tandem with the steam room. The staff recommended putting a handful of ice chips from the fountain in a towel and cooling ourselves down with it after spending time in the crystal steam room.
  • Take a seat on the sparkling tile bench in the spa’s sparkling steam room. A large white crystal rest in the center of the room, and through the warm steam, you’ll see the light show from above—the lights slowly change in color from yellow to pink to green, adding a hint of color to the space.
  • The unique relaxation room glows a soothing red from tinted lights after the sun sets and has eight large lounge chairs topped with soft blankets and a brown throw at your feet. Each chair is separated by a bamboo divider, so you feel like you have a completely private nook.
  • Spacious showers, located in the locker rooms, have their own entry space with a bench for placing your robe, slippers and towels before stepping into the actual shower stall. They come outfitted with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shave cream and fresh razor.
  • The private outdoor spa pool and Jacuzzi — with heated jets and a Roman waterfall with views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean — is tough to beat. You can sun on a lounger during the day and in the evening, when the candles come out, take in the sound of the rustling palm trees and the warm ocean breeze.
