VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.

Four-Star

Our Inspector's Highlights
• The style of The Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club consists of billowing sheers, glass chandeliers and soaring columns that lend the spa an elegant ambiance harkening back to a classical age.
• The glitzy spa isn’t all Old World luxury, though; all 22 treatment rooms are equipped with modern features such as adjustable lighting and volume controls, not to mention high-tech machines used by aestheticians and therapists to provide facials and body treatments.
• Many products used at The Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club mimic the natural benefits of the nearby ocean’s exfoliating sand and hydrating water.
• A medical director from Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery holds weekly consultations, during which you can learn more about the products and obtain a prescription, when appropriate.
• If at any time the light refreshments are not enough to satisfy your hunger, lunch can be ordered inside the café within the relaxation area. You can also grab a bite by the pool outside.
Things to Know
• A full menu of services is available online; if you’re unsure of what service would best serve your needs, a booking associate can assist in selecting the right treatment.
• Booking early at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa is highly recommended, due to its popularity.
• Individual services can be scheduled one to two weeks in advance, but combination packages should be scheduled at least five to six weeks out.
The Treatments
• The deep-tissue massage we had recently was so relaxing we almost fell asleep, and that almost never happens. Our therapist really concentrated on the areas we said were hurting and she did her very best to alleviate our pain.
• Anything that promises firming always catching our attention. If you’re the type to slather on anti-cellulite creams, the Espresso Slimming Body Wrap is treatment is for you.
• We’d go for a manicure and pedicure, as the salon area of the spa is very nice. Both treatments also use Zents products — therapists will ask you to pick your favorite scent and then apply all kinds of hydrating oils and butters.
• Alpha Beta Deluxe Facial is an anti-aging treatment that features an alpha beta peel and self-heating mask. The treatment is firming and hydrating at the same time, and will leave your skin glowing.
The Facilities
• Inside the luxurious locker rooms, you’ll find an oversized Jacuzzi with dark gray granite stone walls and a white stone surround.
• There’s also a water wall behind it and a wood trellis ceiling.
• Across from this are a steam room with eucalyptus spray you can use to add some scent and a sauna.
• Just outside is the tranquil spa’s incredible pool area. The palm-ringed pool features different hydrotherapy grottos, a waterfall, snack bar, enormous daybeds for relaxing, a cool lighting system at night and beautifully tended grounds.
• And of course, there are also four showers and a large vanity area stocked with everything you need to refresh.
