The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago

A plush and inviting urban oasis
VERIFIED LUXURY
This spa’s plush interior makes you feel right at home — that is, if fountains and marble floors are what you’re used to on a daily basis. White suede wall panels and sumptuous treatment rooms add to the spa’s elegant feel. Put on one of the spa’s thick, silky robes and prepare for the royal treatment from this wellness and beauty stalwart.

Located on busy Michigan Avenue inside the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, the spa is fully removed from the hustle and bustle below, especially with it's four soundproofed treatment rooms.

The gracious and attentive staff makes you feel even more relaxed. Extend your stay as much as possible by lounging in one of the day beds after your treatment. Or you can head to the grand pool area and enjoy a leisurely post-treatment lunch before retreating to the fully-stocked locker room for a heavenly steam shower and a little bit more relaxation.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The Champagne Paraffin Pedicure is one of the best foot treatments in the city. It begins with an antioxidant-rich grape seed oil exfoliation and ends with a glass of bubbly. (The heated massage chairs make this decadent pedicure even more indulgent.)
  • The 50-foot indoor pool is something to marvel at, with its Romaneque columns, glass domed ceiling and built-in marble-clad hot tub. Head here after your treatment to spend a day relaxing by the pool.
  • Couples can opt for an idulgent, side-by-side Harmony massages that finish off with a glass of champagne or book the Skylight Swim, 60 minutes of alone time under the stars and with a bottle of bubbly and canapes.
  • Guests can book side-by-side nail services in an intimate room and feel as if they have the entire space to themselves.
  • The plush relaxation room is a hushed, welcoming space dressed in rich creams and whites and has impossibly comfortable corner beds (piled with pillows) with privacy curtains.
Things to Know
  • Guests can use the spa's pool as long as a 50-minute treatment has been purchased. The pool is also open to Four Seasons Hotel Chicago guests.
  • Notify the spa a minimum of four hours before your reservation if you need to cancel, otherwise risk being charged for the full amount of the service.
  • While the fitness center is open 24 hours a day, the indoor pool opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. The pool also has children's hours, which are from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. daily.
The Treatments
  • You'll find both a well curated list of classic, time-held treatments here as well as a few seasonal specialties and services that incorporate more recent wellness trends like the Vintage Bourbon Scrub, a body scrub that uses Kentucky bourbon and brown sugar to get blood flowing.
  • More exotic services include Cupping Therapy, an ancient techique that uses suction to release soft tissue, and a Bamboo Massage, a mssage in which warmed bamboo sticks are used to relieve muscle tension and deeply penetrate.
  • A handful of facial options let you choose your desired result, from combatting signs of aging to intensely hydrating for a lovely glow.
The Facilities
  • Lockers rooms are equipped with steam rooms, sauna and showers and you can use them before and/or after a treatment.
  • The 24-hour fitness center is available to guests of the hotel and includes cardio equipment and free weights.
