VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.

The more casual outpost from the dynamic duo (Daniel Humm and Will Guidara) behind Five-Star Eleven Madison Park, NoMad Restaurant at
The NoMad Hotel is the epitome of city chic.
Earning its name from the pyramidal glass roof above the main dining room, this
New York restaurant is refined and trendy at once. Natural light floods in to highlight the elegant floral armchairs and dark wood tables, while evening brings a dimly lit atmosphere, accented by wall sconces.
Chef Humm whips up divine dishes with the same expertise he displays at the more formal Eleven Madison Park. The menu is divided into several categories: snacks, appetizers, entrées and desserts. You’ll find options such as butter-dipped radishes with fleur de sel; smoked foie gras terrine with apple, sunflower seeds and thyme; and a whole-roasted chicken for two with foie gras, black truffles and brioche.
