Our Inspector's Highlights
- As part of the restaurant’s aquatic-themed overtones, oysters are the menu’s centerpiece and can be enjoyed at the bar or as you gaze out of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the main space. You’ll get to choose from five to 12 different oyster types on any given day.
- The minimalist modern design with Asian embellishments gives the 82-seat restaurant and adjacent bar an airy-yet-luxurious feel. With every detail from the contemporary art on the walls to the illuminated glass entrance and expansive table views, the Macau restaurant reigns over the Cotai Strip.
- The menu at Belon offers a variety of seafood and grilled plates. Chef Mirko Cappa has created a menu that is approachable but sets a refreshingly new tone for a Macau restaurant.
- Belon is the perfect locale to bring a wine lover, as the venue’s two-story wine cellar is one of its main design features. And being part of the Galaxy complex means that Belon has access to some of the most interesting and rare bottles on any Galaxy Macau restaurant wine list.

Things to Know
- Both the Belon bar and the main restaurant are open Wednesday to Monday for dinner. The bar serves drinks from 6 p.m. to midnight, while the restaurant is open 6 p.m. to 11 p.m and closed on Tuesdays.
- As one of Macau Cotai strip’s more well-known restaurants, Belon has a smart-casual dress code. Although jackets and ties aren’t required, people dressed to match the Macau restaurant’s elegant ambiance wouldn’t be out of place.
- As Belon offers one of Macau’s signature dining experiences, it should come as no surprise that interested diners need to make a reservation a few days in advance in order to dine during the restaurant’s peak hours. Those willing to eat on the early or late side, however, can usually get away with a same-day reservation.
The Food
- Due to the restaurant’s namesake and the aquatic design, oysters are featured prominently here, and most nights you could circumnavigate the globe simply via the oyster menu, either at your table or at the dedicated oyster bar.
- The lobster bisque is a must-try. The thick soup is made with succulent Boston lobster — the head and shell are first roasted in the oven before the soup is prepared with flamed cognac and served with a refreshing dollop of tarragon cream.
- This meaty perfection of the Kurobuta pork belly is destined to melt in your mouth when it arrives on your plate accompanied by a light chickpea purée and coconut foam.
- The dessert menu hits all the classics, but with Mirko's unique interpretation, including a crêpe suzette that is flambéed tableside and the lemon gelato Baked Alaska — both indulgent and delicious.

- Thanks to an interior design infused with a modern aesthetic, you’ll enjoy an immersive experience from the moment you step foot in the door at Belon.
- Do not let the sleek, white interior fool you, Belon was designed to invoke an aquatic feel — note the clean lines of the illuminated blue glass stairwell, which begins the motif, and is followed by a waterfall and custom kinetic artwork.
- From the hostess stand at the Five-Star restaurant, a whalebone arch corridor leads into the two-story dining room with walls accented by shapes and details inspired by aquatic forms of scallop tails, jellyfish, waves and spiral shells.
