SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas

Vegas' lagoon-side steakhouse
VERIFIED LUXURY
Banishing all thoughts of stuffy, dark steakhouses are the warm, sophisticated environs of the recently refreshed SW Steakhouse on the shores of the Lake of Dreams at Wynn Las Vegas. Named after the resort’s famous proprietor, Steve Wynn, the restaurant doesn’t skimp on luxurious details, from the decorative stone pieces carved in Jerusalem to the authentic Kobe beef from Japan.

Hospitality and warmth define the direction that executive vice president of design Roger Thomas has gone with his update of Vincente Wolf’s original design for Wynn’s American steakhouse.

You will arrive via a glamorous little bar and lounge with teak walls, granite floor and recessed copper ceiling. Flattering lighting in the tailored, modern space highlight the cuisine, the amply stocked bar and the stylish patrons themselves.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Colors throughout tend toward cream, oatmeal and copper, and fabrics are impossibly thick and plush for an overall effect that is welcoming and unpretentious.
  • Steve Wynn’s favored horizontal lines are overwhelmingly featured, inspired by the naturally striated sandstone that makes up the Las Vegas valley, and are expressed in Italian Tucci marble accents.
  • If you’re a fan of the Food Network show "Best Thing I Ever Ate," you might already be familiar with executive chef David Walzog’s now-famous chili-rubbed double rib-eye.
  • SW is also one of few restaurants in the U.S. offering certified, authentic Kobe beef from Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture. Choose from the evening’s available cuts and be presented with the animal’s noseprint and pedigree.
  • Bringing the outdoors in and the indoors out, SW has a climate-controlled patio for year-round outdoor dining. It’s located at the base of Wynn’s 40-foot waterfall and the resort’s urban mountain.
