Bauer Palazzo

Venice's art deco gem
VERIFIED LUXURY
Just a stone’s throw from San Marco and situated at the head of the Grand Canal, the charming Bauer Palazzo sits in the heart of Venice.

The enviable location means that you don’t have to wander far to explore and experience the city’s landmarks, which are easily accessible on foot. In just five minutes, you can reach the Gallerie dell'Accademia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Doge's Palace. For water-based explorations, a fleet of gondolas awaits.

The hotel itself reflects the classic city; the unassuming exterior masks the art deco grandeur awaiting inside. Venetian fabrics and accents are a strong component of the décor, chandeliers and sconces are constructed from locally made Murano glass, and bathrooms feature Italian marble and Lorenzo Villoresi toiletries.

  • Enjoy an innovative meal with gorgeous Venice and lagoon views at Settimo Cielo + restaurant. Its seventh-floor terrace is the highest in the city.
  • B Bar Lounge is the place to be and be seen in the city in the winter. Creative cocktails aside, the hip spot features live jazz on and DJ sets (check with the hotel for availability).
  • Dinner with a view is an understatement at De Pisis, where you can dine on Mediterranean cuisine with a Venetian twist while overlooking the Grand Canal and the church of Santa Maria Della Salute.
Things to Know
  • Post-workout, opt for a spin in the outdoor hydro massage bathtubs/whirlpool on the eighth-floor terrace, complete with prosecco and fresh fruit.

The Rooms
