The SoHo Hotel & Residences

A contemporary home base in Toronto
VERIFIED LUXURY
If you were to design your ideal downtown Toronto high-rise home, it would likely look a lot like The SoHo Hotel & Residences. Indeed, the hotel houses 56 long-term rental residences alongside its 87 guest rooms, though those numbers belie The SoHo's boutique feel; all guest rooms are located on the first four floors. This intimate vibe is one of the many reasons the Forbes Travel Guide Four Star hotel is a favorite with Hollywood A-listers visiting for the annual Toronto International Film Festival.

Throughout the hotel, local designer Paul Waddell has made the comfort-first choices you’d want for your own home — the extra-large, 55-inch smart TVs; windows that actually open; Nespresso coffee machines with to-go cups; Frette linens; convenient doorbells — without sacrificing an ounce of modern style. Custom Canadian maple millwork fills each room’s expansive dressing area, and heated Sahara marble is a welcome material in guest bathrooms.

  • For longer journeys, the Toronto hotel is within walking distance of both the streetcar and subway systems, and a house Lincoln Continental is available for trips within the city’s downtown core on weekdays.
  • Completing the collection of amenities that will make you feel at home: a light-filled, purpose-built gym in which the equipment is curated by world-class trainer Dalton Brown.
Things to Know
  • The sleek, contemporary Toronto hotel is designed in a neutral color palette with a spectrum of luxe materials and pops of drama, beginning with the vibrant Dale Chihuly glass canopy you’ll walk under at the hotel’s Wellington Street entrance.

The intimate lobby, for instance, features warm wood paneling, another large art installation behind the reception desk and inviting seating areas with black leather chairs.
