Hotel Nikko San Francisco

Tranquility in the thick of it all
VERIFIED LUXURY
The ultra-modern Hotel Nikko San Francisco is located in downtown San Francisco just blocks from Union Square. The luxury hotel, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017, includes more than 500 rooms — 22 of which are suites — an indoor heated pool, a 24-hour health club and men and women's steam rooms.

The hotel’s restaurant, Anzu, specializes in California cuisine with an Asian flair, and includes a raw and sushi bar, while the recently remodeled Kanpai Lounge offers an extensive selection of signature sake martinis.

For in-house entertainment, you can dine and be dazzled in the luxe Feinstein's, an elegant nightclub that hosts a wide variety of some of the most entertaining performers.

The hotel prides itself on building community and giving back, and is also a model of sustainable hospitality with special recycling, waste management and water conservation programs.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Hotel Nikko San Francisco has a modern design style that is sleek and clean — think the Far East meets the West. Asian touches throughout, including a stream of flowing water greeting guests in the lobby, help create an initial Zen atmosphere.
  • Fitness fanatics will want to hit the Hotel Nikko’s 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Health Club. The massive space offers a fully equipped gym (open 24-hours a day) as well as two spa treatment rooms, a sauna and steam room, a Jacuzzi and newly renovated indoor lap pool.
  • Four-legged friends (up to 60 pounds) are welcomed to the San Francisco hotel in style with bowls, beds and treats, as well as a personal greeting from Buster, the property’s personal pet ambassador.
  • Opt for a dinner and a show at Feinstein’s at the Nikko. This 140-seat live music venue showcases performances from a variety of genres—including Broadway, cabaret, drag and jazz—and serves gastro pub fare, wine and cocktails to enjoy, too.
  • The services of a Les Clef D’or Concierge means that you’ll want for nothing when you stay at this San Francisco property. Whether you need tickets to a Giants game, reservations at the hottest new restaurant or simply to call a cab, they can get it done.
Things to Know
  • Use of the Hotel Nikko’s gorgeous Health Club is only complementary for guests staying in Imperial level rooms or suites. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay to play.
  • While the San Francisco hotel doesn’t offer an outdoor swimming hole, you can catch some rays on the sundeck (complete with fire pits) just off the glass-enclosed indoor rooftop pool.
  • Hotel Nikko is committed to environmental conservation efforts through its business practices. In fact, it’s the only property in San Francisco to win the EPA Energy Star Award ten times.
