Our Inspector's Highlights

The Duniway’s Vinyl Suite (opening in early 2019) will be a music lover’s heaven. Wall-to-wall bookshelves will house records of all genres, and the room’s own turntable lets you play DJ, all in the comfort of your ultra-plush accommodation.
Take the elevator up to the 11th floor, walk past the gym and exit out onto a peaceful rooftop courtyard reserved exclusively for guests. Nicknamed Abigail’s Hideaway after the property’s namesake, the courtyard boasts fire pits and strings of tea lights amid comfortable seating and thoughtful landscaping.
Though pools are rare in downtown, the luxury hotel has a family-friendly swimming hole on the 11th floor attached to the private courtyard.
The Duniway’s art and décor is incredibly curated. Stop off on the different floors to check out the beautiful photography, appreciate the refined wood “wave ceiling” while swimming laps in the indoor pool, or browse the shelves in the lobby to find artistic references to the hotel’s owner, restaurant (rabbits in a nod to Jackrabbit), and the city.
Fans of Top Chef Masters will remember season four winner, Chris Cosentino, who just so happens to helm the kitchen of the hotel’s Jackrabbit restaurant. Stop by any time of day to savor some of Portland’s best flavors.

Things to Know

For the best vistas, book into one of the hip hotel’s City View High Floor rooms on levels 16 through 19.

From repurposed bicycle chandeliers and a wall covered in leather belts to a dual-sided bar and two large tables hewn from one impressive log, the restaurant is a visual masterpiece — modern and authentic at the same time.
The dishes at Jackrabbit live up to chef Cosentino’s reputation. Known for using every part of the animal and minimizing food waste, the toque turns out highlights such as pig ears and a delicious bone marrow dip that accompanies the steak entrée, but don’t skip the extensive raw bar and tasty oysters, either
Be sure to save room for dessert, where options might include a floral lemon and chamomile crème brûlée or a dark chocolate tartlet served with salted foie gras caramel.
Pull up a stool at Jackrabbit’s bar to sample the gin-centric craft cocktails built on a base of 60 herbaceous spirits from around the globe. A wide selection of Pacific Northwest wines rounds out the menu.
