The St. Regis Deer Valley

A hot ski scene in Park City
VERIFIED LUXURY
The St. Regis Deer Valley is a skier’s playground. The ski-in/ski-out hotel gives you immediate access to Deer Valley’s renowned skiing minus the crowds (since it’s tucked away in the gated Deer Crest community). It rests on 12 slopeside acres at the base of the Wasatch Mountains in Park City, and it makes the most of its great location.

All guest rooms offer unparalleled views of the surrounding range. Another way to take in the scenery is from the incredible split-level infinity swimming pool. The steamy 2,400-square-foot pool appears like a mirage in the middle of the snow-covered landscape.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • If snuggling up in your room is what you're after, the cozy stone fireplaces provide all the warmth you need (for help putting it on, call your personal St. Regis butler).
  • The mountain backdrop inspires the stunning Park City hotel’s design. Cream Venetian plaster walls, stacked stones, dark wood and burnished brass touches exude a sophisticated, cozy lodge feel.
  • One of the best ski amenities is the chance to take a private class with two-time Olympic medalist Shannon Bahrke. You’ll glean insider tips on half- or full-day outings, but the vivacious skier with a shock of hot pink hair will also ensure you have a good time.
  • When you want a break, ski valets are ready to take your equipment while you refuel at the Skiers’ Chef’s Table lunchtime buffet in the Mountain Terrace, sip cocoa in the après-ski hot chocolate bar or unwind in the chaise lounges at the “ski beach.”
  • The alluring Four-Star Remède Spa offers a welcome respite to a hard day on the slopes.
Things to Know
  • The two-story lobby is a natural gathering place — especially in the afternoon, when the complimentary après-ski hot chocolate bar is set up there.
  • Head to the lower-level ski lobby’s Jans shop, which will outfit you with skis, helmets, goggles and anything else you need. Plus, Jans will set you up with guided moonlight snowshoe, fly-fishing and cross-country tours.
  • If you want to venture out, the St. Regis’ stylish white Mercedes-Benz G550s will escort you into the cowboy-chic town to check out hot spots like High West Distillery & Saloon or the Kimball Art Center.
The Rooms
  • Western accents are woven into the room décor, including the yellow and rust-colored buffalo paintings on the texturized tan walls and the wooden headboards draped with a brown and blue-gray chevron fabric.
  • Rustic stone fireplaces and elegant Juliette balconies strike the perfect balance of country-chic in these luxury Park City accommodations.
  • Modern-day conveniences are within easy reach including adjustable bedside reading lights that sneak out from behind the headboards, an XtremeMac combination iPod/iPhone dock and alarm clock, and flat-screen LCD televisions (there’s even one in the bathroom mirror).
  • The tan stone spacious bathrooms feature roomy tubs with snowy mountain views and covetable Remède toiletries.
The Restaurants
  • Rime Seafood & Steak, the resort’s new signature restaurant from chef Matthew Harris, replaces J&G Grill. The establishment proudly serves locally sourced meats (including Elk from Utah) and sustainably caught seafood (like Maine diver scallops) in a space that captures the essence of the American West (a unique fossil wall welcomes you at the entrance).

  • Families surround the outdoor fire pits after dinner to make gooey s’mores, but for a more adult treat, wander over to The St. Regis Bar & Lounge for the 7452 Mary. The hotel’s version of the classic Bloody Mary features a bright-green wasabi and celery espuma.

  • Other casual onsite options include the French-inspired Brasserie 7452 and the grab-and-go Terrace Café.

  • During the summer months, enjoy an alfresco Sunday Jazz Brunch at the luxury resort featuring tasty bites (summer bean salad with cherry tomatoes, Andouille sausage eggs benedict and brown sugar sweet potato pie) and live music.
