Stepping through the traditional, dramatic entrance of Le Royal Monceau — Raffles Paris is like being transported into the imagination of Philippe Starck. In 2010, the famous French designer transformed the legendary palace hotel into a modern and spirited space, making it one of Paris’ most creatively designed hotels. But Starck didn’t completely erase the hotel’s past — you can still see some touches of its original grandeur, including the chandeliers hanging above the lobby’s staircase.

Artists and art-lover alike will love the La Librairie des Arts, a contemporary art bookstore is filled with over 700 items, including limited edition books, art pieces and other unique gifts.
This elegant hotel also has its own 99-seat, state-of-the-art private theater, which is called The Katara Cinema.
Hotel guests can pick up jewelry, clothes, accessories and objets d'art at the hotel's luxurious Le Royal Eclaireur boutique.
Spa My Blend by Clarins offers a host of treatments as well as the largest pool (at 75 feet long) in a Parisian luxury hotel.
Art District, the in-house gallery, showcases work by contemporary artists in revolving exhibitions. Exceptional art is also found throughout the hotel’s public areas, including an installation of 15 life-size wooden elk and deer by Russian artist Nikolay Polissky.

Things to Know

Make reservations for the Sunday Night Film Club during which Hollywood blockbusters and classics are shown, complete with champagne and popcorn.
The members-only Viñales Club is a must-visit place for cigar aficionados.
Located on the impressive avenue Hoche in the 8th Arrondissement, Le Royal Monceau is a five-minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. And dating back to the 17th century, Parc Monceau with its impressive gardens and statues is but a 10-minute walk.

The Rooms

The 85 rooms and 64 suites are inspired by the ’40s and ’50s and display Starck’s playful, cutting-edge style.
Each room is outfitted with an acoustic guitar and invitation to write on the bedside lampshades.
Art from the Paris hotel’s private collection adorn the walls and handcrafted furniture designed by Starck fill the rooms and suites.
Custom-made linens and goose down bedding come standard, as do Clarins and Bonpoint toiletries.

The Restaurants

Under the charge of executive chef Laurent André, the hotel offers two exciting epicurean experiences.
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa (more commonly referred to as "Nobu") opened Matsuhisa Paris, his sixth Matsuhisa fine-dining restaurant, in March 2016. With executive chef Hideki Endo leading the daily charge, this latest entry continues the brand’s tradition of serving unparalleled Peruvian-Japanese cuisine.
Il Carpaccio has been a staple in the city for more than 30 years, however, Pompeii-born chef Roberto Rispoli has taken traditional family recipes and made Il Carpaccio one of the very best Italian restaurants in Paris. French pastry chef Pierre Hermé completes any meal with his revered sweet treats.
While you dine, bask in an intimate space that features a seashell mosaic on the walls, a glass ceiling and doors that open to the terrace.
Le Bar Long pays homage to the famous Long Bar in the Raffles Singapore. Located in the heart of the luxury hotel, the bar serves breakfast, snacks, afternoon tea, tapas and also has a late-night menu.
