Located in the historic Miami Beach district on Collins Avenue, the 74-room boutique hotel adopts the COMO’s wellness ethos (it’s the first foray into the United States for Singapore-based COMO Hotels and Resorts and its Balinese COMO Shambhala spa). Our Inspector's Highlights

The Miami hotel’s Art Deco design features Geometric silhouettes, a playful palette of pastel pistachios and grays, and vintage-style furnishings, contrasted by chrome fixtures and designer Paola Navone’s own contemporary pieces.
The pièce de résistance of the Miami hotel is COMO Shambhala Urban Escape. Located on the eighth floor, the luxury wellness spa offers a personalized holistic approach with Asian-inspired therapies.
The Traymore Gin Bar serves 30-plus artisanal gins in creative cocktails like Traymore 1939 (Nolet’s Gin, rosemary syrup, curacao, grapefruit and pomegranate) and Collins Park (Bulldog Gin, St. Germain, lemon, watermelon and basil).
Relax out on the COMO Shambhala Terrace while sipping on a wellness juice and overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and city. Or, take a dip in rooftop hydrotherapy pool with Atlantic Ocean views.
The spa also features a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga, meditation and personal fitness training.

Things to Know

The COMO Metropolitan is a contemporary take on Art Deco design. Interiors by Italian designer Paola Navone reference the 1920s and ’30s.
The proper attire is required when partaking in fresh locally sourced ingredients and Traymore’s old-fashioned service.
The spa’s name, Shambhala, means “peace” in Sanskrit, which is what you’ll find at this serene sanctuary.

The Rooms

All 74 guest rooms mirror the hotel’s contemporary stylings, complemented by spectacular views.
Metropolitan Rooms overlook the city or Intracoastal Waterway, while City Rooms face the city and surrounding area.
All rooms feature sleek amenities and comforts: flat-screen TVs, espresso makers, health-conscious snacks and rainfall showers.
If you’re seeking an elevated experience, request the COMO Suite. This expansive apartment-style suite includes a bedroom, one-and-a-half bathrooms, separate living room and dining areas, a kitchenette and breezy balcony.

The Restaurants

The Miami resort's Traymore restaurant is getting a tasty overhaul with a brand-new concept in collaboration with James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schwartz. A raw bar and market table make flavorful additions, but the breezy terrace remains a see-and-be-seen spot.
Expected to debut on March 16, the refreshed venue will feature a menu of fresh Florida fare with a Southeast Asian spin. Look out for dishes like beef carpaccio with hearts of palm and burnt lime vinaigrette, and wok-charred wild salmon with four-sprout salad and toasted pumpkin seeds.
Poolside, get burgers, fresh brick-oven pizzas and lighter bites. There’s also a healthful COMO Shambhala menu available for breakfast in the restaurant and room service.
At social hour, the Traymore Gin Bar is buzzing. A full menu of wine and champagne, beer and spirits is on hand, but the specialty gin cocktails are the top tipples.
