  • The hotel used to be a private royal residence for Queen Elizabeth as a child. Elizabeth lived in a suite of rooms, consisting of a nurseries and a bathroom linked by a landing, with wide windows looking down on the park.
  • With Arch Bar, Cookbook Café and Theo Randall’s at InterContinental, the Four-Star hotel is full of excellent choices for dining and drinking.
  • Don’t let your complimentary slippers sit in the closet; these are some of the more comfortable and cozy ones we’ve used.

  • Across the street from Hyde Park and the adjacent Kensington Gardens, the Four-Star hotel is an ideal spot for shopping, dining or sightseeing.
  • While sipping on a cocktail at the Arch Bar, request a seat by the window so you can people-watch and enjoy the life of the city passing you by.
  • A seven-minute walk from the luxury London hotel is this little square full of restaurants that span various cuisines like Italian, Turkish, Lebanese and English (think fish and chips). It’s perfect for a quick lunch or a more lengthy dinner.
  • While the Four-Star hotel doesn’t have locker rooms and facilities for the gym or spa, there are fabulous treatments available that are perfect for loosening tight shoulders or backs from traveling.
  • Theo Randall at InterContinental is one of London’s top spots for Italian food and located just off the lobby and is a must-try for dinner.


The Rooms
  • The guest rooms at InterContinental London Park Lane are fairly sizable considering their prime location in the heart of London’s Mayfair district, right near Hyde Park. With large glass windows, the rooms are filled with light that makes reading by the plush armchairs even more enjoyable.
  • The rooms are decorated in a color palette of red and gold, giving it an aristocratic feel, which makes sense since the luxury hotel used to be a royal residence. Modern in-room technology like high-speed internet, a flat-screen TV, and opt-in Wi-Fi makes this an excellent room for both leisure and business travelers.
  • Though the bathrooms have excellent amenities, they are on the smaller side at Four-Star InterContinental London Park Lane. You should be fine doing your necessary tasks, but it’s not a bathroom that you walk into, gawk in amazement and then immediately run a bath.
  • While all of the rooms are great, the best rooms to stay in are the suites or executive club rooms. With 60 suites in the Four-Star hotel, and all of them designed in a modern and contemporary fashion, you can expect premium services such as butler service, complimentary drinks, lunch and dinner snacks as well as a separate check-in area for guests.
The Look
  • For a building that used to be a royal residence, InterContinental London Park Lane manages to blend a sense of classic English style with contemporary and modern tones. White lilies adorn the black-and-white marble lobby and female staff members where modern silver jewelry, like a knotted ball necklace, that perfectly combines elegance and up-to-date style.
  • Throughout the London hotel, you’ll find comfortable seating areas in the lobby and oversized, rounded armchairs in the Arch Bar, located just off of the lobby by the elevator banks. The London hotel makes sure to allow for excellent views of the park across the street, which is lit up at night and easy to see through the large glass windows that line one wall of the hotel.
  • From its effort to reduce water waste when washing sheets to its sustainably minded Cookbook Café, the Four-Star hotel is very thoughtful about its impact on the environment.
