Four Seasons Hotel Doha

A haven of Arabic luxuriousness
VERIFIED LUXURY

Wielding traditional luxury and an excellent hospitality pedigree, Four Seasons Hotel Doha is the grand dame of the city.

With its own private beach, five different indoor and outdoor pools catering to all ages and lush manicured gardens, the hotel is a haven among the West Bay area’s towering buildings.

In a city studded with sumptuous stays, service at Four Seasons Hotel Doha is what sets it apart — it’s discreet yet personalized. This can mean customized T-shirts and bathrobes for returning guests or cold towels and sunglass cleaning by the pool.

Boasting nine restaurants and lounges, the hotel has also become one of the top players in Doha’s competitive culinary scene, hosting the excellent Elements for all-day dining, the Parisian-chic Seasons Tea Lounge and the world’s largest Nobu restaurant, dramatically perched over the Arabian Gulf.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Four Seasons’ trademark service is evident from your arrival through to your departure. Expect to be greeted by name throughout the hotel.
  • All rooms are large, as you would expect in the Middle East, and the space is used well with comfortable chairs and sitting areas in each.
  • The three-story spa complex houses not just 11 treatment rooms, but also squash and tennis courts, a hydrotherapy pool, male and female beauty salons and a café serving up healthy meals and smoothies.
  • Families are welcome with a dedicated program for little ones ages five to 12 called Kids For All Seasons. Complimentary daily activities include swimming, jewelry making, football, quizzes and puzzles complete with lunch and snacks.
  • The concierge staff truly knows Doha and its surrounds. Its can book everything from a sunset desert safari to dinner at a Yemeni restaurant hidden away in the Souq.

Things to Know

  • The Doha hotel is the go-to place to stay for many government delegations and visiting VIPs. While this makes for great for people watching, it also sometimes means associated security details and a crowded lobby.
  • During the two Eid holiday periods (usually falling around June and late August), the hotel can fill up quickly, so be sure to book early or plan around these dates.
  • With the hotel located just off the Corniche, Doha’s infamous traffic can make airport transfers longer than expected.

The Rooms

  • The recently redesigned rooms don hues of blues and beiges, a nod to the sky, sea, sand and earth colors of Doha. The accommodations are equipped with energy-efficient technologies, including automated curtains and lighting systems.
  • All rooms in the luxury hotel have a view of the Arabian Gulf or the unique Doha skyline. Evenings are a treat thanks to the city’s famous blazing sunsets.
  • Suites have small step-out balconies that, while not really big enough to sit on, offer lovely breezes in the winter.
  • The large marble bathrooms are all fitted with full-sized bathtubs, separate showers and luxurious Crabtree & Evelyn bath products.
  • The West Bay Suites are great for families. The two-bedroom version offers a large table that can seat six, while the three-bedroom suite is set over two spacious levels in one of the hotel’s turrets with a separate sitting and dining room.

The Restaurants

  • With a sexy low-lit dining room and world-class Japanese fusion cuisine, Nobu Doha is set on the edge of the private Four Seasons marina (catch a buggy from the lobby) and is one of the most sought-after dinner reservations in town. Try the miso black cod and be sure to save room for the famed Nobu cheesecake.
  • Elements restaurant has gained a reputation for its varied international menu and innovative gin bar, but it’s the Chinese and Arabic dishes (try the Indonesian chicken or the mixed grill) that keep diners coming back for more.
  • You’ll feel like you were transported to Paris in Seasons Tea Lounge, with an atrium-style winter garden that brings the outdoors in and a menu of French delicacies.

  • The Pool Grill is a hidden gem. Its international breakfast platters and all-day menu of comfort food staples make it a great spot to relax in the cooler months.

  • At the Library Lounge & Study, plush armchairs and warm woods and leather set an inviting scene for evening martinis. Or bring your cocktail outside to the Study Terrace for a Havana-like backdrop.
