Hotel Arista
A one-of-a-kind green hotel
VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These are outstanding, often iconic properties with virtually flawless service and amazing facilities.
Four-Star
These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.
Recommended
These are excellent properties with consistently good service and facilities.
Soon To Be Rated
As our highly trained, incognito inspectors work to assess properties, our editors check them out ahead of time and provide a sneak preview of what to expect.
Hotel Arista avoids the cookie-cutter hotel experience and tries to add a thoughtful touch to your stay. Long before you arrive at this luxury Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel, your in-room “Nosh Box” will be stocked with Kit-Kat bars, beef jerky or most any other snack you crave.
Beyond the latest in cardiovascular machines and free weights, the onsite fitness center offers zumba and personal training services. The restaurants and cafes peppered throughout this property vary in style and mood, all topped off with a luxurious 6,500-square-foot spa.
The first hotel to be LEED-certified in Illinois takes pride in every detail: The Living Room fireplace has no carbon footprint, and every room has a hook placed high enough to air out a three-piece suit — or keep a freshly pressed wedding gown wrinkle-free.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- Hotel Arista prides itself on using less water and energy than a typical hotel, so guests can be assured they are choosing eco-friendly accommodations.
- The Arista Spa and Salon aims to enrich the body and soothe the soul, with massages, body wraps, nail treatments and hair appointments.
- Guests have access to Olympus Executive Fitness Center, where visitors can arrange personalized training regimens to suit their needs.
Things to Know
- The hotel is not far from downtown Naperville, a destination in itself that’s home to the picturesque Riverwalk, home to covered bridges and fountains along the DuPage River and several neighboring shops, restaurants and bars.
- If you’re headed to Chicago — a city known for its summer festivals — you’ll find that getting to the hotel is easy on Interstate 88.
- You can also forego the car altogether and take the commuter Metra rail, which has a stop just three miles away from the hotel.
- The luxury hotel hosts the Naperville Wine Festival in August, a yoga event on the front lawn in September, and residents and visitors gather to sample ribs from all over the world at Ribfest in downtown Naperville.
The Rooms
- While room décor at Hotel Arista maintains the modern feel of the contemporary common areas, its color palette of creams, warm browns and orange accents add a sense of softness.
- Nestling into one of nine types of pillows (from a heated lavender neck roll to full body pillow) or donning the bathrobe after a soak in the tub doesn’t hurt, either.
- All guest rooms also have marble bathrooms with a walk-in shower, Lather toiletries and a TV embedded in the vanity mirror.
- Each room at the hotel also comes equipped with a 42-inch, wall-mounted flat-screen TV that pulls forward and swivels — convenient if you plan to plug in a laptop or game system.
- Corner King rooms have space to sprawl, and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a separate living room — some even have a cushioned window seat, a favorite detail among wedding photographers.
The Restaurants
- Kafenío is a popular, cafeteria-style place to grab a breakfast sandwich or quick lunch before heading to a meeting next door.
- All the food at Tap In Pub and Carvery is housemade — we recommend the chef’s daily selection of sliders — and the bar keeps local brews on tap, including Two Brothers and Revolution Brewery.
- Just off the lobby at Hotel Arista is Zorba Lounge, where you can grab a cocktail and appetizer. And, before you check out, go to Lavazza for a gelato and a cup of coffee or a glass of wine (as if you need a reason).
-
New restaurant and bar Che Figata focuses
on southern Italian dishes like salamino piccante pizza, a Roman-style pie with charred
pepperoni, cipollini, Calabrian pepper, buffalo mozzarella and Parmigiano
Reggiano; linguine e nduja, housemade
pasta with nduja, garlic, lemon-pistachio pesto, cipollini, fava bean, San
Marzano tomato and Pecorino Tuscano; and ossobuco,
a 24-hour braised veal shank.
Che Figata also serves as a market where you
can pick up fresh pasta, sauces, cheese, bread and meat.
