Grand Hyatt Bogota

A tranquil stay in Colombia's capital
VERIFIED LUXURY

A brand-new elliptical glass tower in a prestigious business center near the airport, Grand Hyatt Bogota is the luxury brand’s first foray into the Colombian capital.

The grandeur of the hotel greets you upon entering the impressive luminous lobby with its multi-tiered chandelier, beautiful display of indigenous orchids and glimmering art installations.

The sophistication continues into the spacious and peaceful guest rooms and sitting areas, where floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to accentuate the eye-catching interiors peppered with local craftwork. What’s more, every room and suite boasts breathtaking views of the Andes or surrounding city.

The elegant property provides the comfort and top-notch service that you might associate with the Hyatt brand, plus plenty of deluxe extras: the serene Zaitania Spa with its naturally lit indoor pool, a refined top-floor Japanese restaurant with stellar vistas, 11 elegant meeting rooms and a rooftop helipad.

Things to Know

  • Grand Hyatt Bogota’s location in the Ciudad Empresarial Sarmiento Angulo commercial district means you are just up the road from the Corferias and Ágora Bogota convention centers, and minutes from several exclusive shopping malls and top cultural attractions in the historic center.
  • Request a room facing the Andes for amazing vistas of the verdant mountains that border the city to the east from your bed.
  • The Grand Club offers a book exchange where you can swap your novel for something new.
  • After a day of sightseeing, the greenery-dotted deck by the pool area is an inviting place to relax on a luxe sun bed and soak up some Bogota sunshine.

The Rooms

  • The 322 rooms and 50 suites at the Bogota hotel are all distinctly sleek and minimalist, decorated in a calming palette of ivory and beige. The radiant copper fiber looms handwoven by Colombian artist Jorge Lizarazo that adorn every bedroom wall are a delightful touch of local culture.
  • At 441 square feet, the standard rooms are the largest in the city. They come with plush king-sized beds with four sumptuously soft pillows and a work desk.
  • Every bathroom has a large soaking tub, double marble sinks and a separate shower. Standard rooms are stocked with June Jacobs toiletries, while the suites carry Loto del Sur products.

The Restaurants

  • Fuel up for a day of exploring the city with an indulgent breakfast buffet (think tropical fruits, crispy arepas and eggs to order) at Capitalino, the luxury hotel's all-day restaurant that serves both international plates and traditional Colombian specialties.
  • Capitalino’s charming terrace hosts a live DJ every Friday, and on Sundays, you can tuck into a sumptuous brunch that includes unlimited mimosas and Fizzy Pops (popsicles soaking in glasses of prosecco).
  • For something quick, grab a cup of Colombian coffee and a freshly baked pastry from Aldeana Market. Weekdays at 4 p.m., the café hosts a complimentary Coffee Experience that includes a demonstration of the caffeinated drink’s different preparation methods.
  • The elegant first-floor Ilustre Bar is a great way to end the day (or begin the night) with a cocktail (The Macondo Fantasy made with rum, guava, ginger beer and a twist of lemon is particularly refreshing), glass of wine or craft beer in one of the comfortable banquettes.
  • Once you’ve worked up an appetite, make your way to the upscale Ushin Japanese & Grill on the 14th floor. It’s the one of the only restaurants in Bogota to serve robatayaki, Japanese-style skewers grilled over binchotan coal.
