Things to Know
- Wealthy Majorcan Mariano Fuster commissioned Casa Fuster in 1908 as a gift to his wife. The couple lived there and held grand society receptions in the ornate ground-floor salon (now Café Vienés). In the ’60s, it became the local electrical company headquarters until its current owners bought it, refurbished it and converted it into a jewel.
- Woody Allen plays his saxophone here every time he comes to Barcelona. It is one of his favorite spots.
- The luxury hotel was one of the locations of the Oscar-winning film Vicky Cristina Barcelona directed by Allen.
- Near Casa Fuster, you’ll find the bohemian Gràcia neighborhood. Go there to discover eclectic boutiques and cool international restaurants.

- Café Vienés is one of the most-visited places in town. A historical meeting place for intellectuals, the space now draws in people who want to nibble on tapas like patatas bravas (fried potatoes with aioli) and Iberian cured ham croquettes while sipping cava.
- The sixth-floor Mirador Blue View terrace is where to go for cocktails in the summertime. It helps that the small pool is there as well.
