Outer Banks

SHARE
North Carolina’s Outer Banks offers some of the best beaches on the East Coast. The nature remains preserved on this stretch of land, with wild horses running on the beach in Corolla and dolphins playing off the shore. The Outer Banks is made up of four segments — Northern Beaches, Roanoke Island, Dare Mainland and Hatteras Island — each of which has its own personality. With the Northern Beaches being the most popular, you’ll find plenty to do — whether you’re hang gliding off the dunes in Nags Head or catching up on some aviation history at the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills. Many families rent homes in the Outer Banks, which is why you won’t find many resorts in this East Coast destination.
