Northern Vermont

Northern Vermont is home to rolling green hills, farmland and gorgeous mountainous terrain, making it a top destination for summer outdoor adventures and wintertime ski season. The northern portion is home to the state’s biggest cities — Burlington, Montpelier and Barre — but these are hardly big by any other state’s standards (Burlington is tops with a population of 40,000). With small towns punctuating the rural countryside, the region’s natural beauty is what draws thousands of seasonal visitors.
